Through consistent and clear communication, we can build brand recognition, form a connection with our audience, deliver our message and achieve our goals.

The guidelines documented here describe how to uphold the values and appearance of the UNAIDS identity. These guidelines demonstrate a consistent and commited approach based upon an intelligent and efficient style of visual communication.

The purpose is to unify the organization with a set of guiding visual principles that reinforce our brand characteristics and objectives.

The words that describe the characterics of the UNAIDS organization are courageous, optimistic, expert and collaborative.
Brand Objectives
The Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS brings together in the AIDS response the efforts and resources of ten UN system organizations. UNAIDS works at the global, regional and country level in five main areas:
  • Leadership and advocacy for effective action on the epidemic
  • Strategic information and technical support to guide efforts against AIDS worldwide
  • Tracking, monitoring and evaluation of the epidemic and of responses to it
  • Civil society engagement and the development of strategic partnerships
  • Mobilization of resources to support an effective response
